Riding motorcycles has been a part of my life ever since I was 17, starting with sport bikes that ignited my passion for the open road. As the years went by and I entered my 30s, my interests shifted, and I found myself drawn to the allure of Harley-Davidsons.

However, life had a different plan for me when I met my husband. I realized that my passion for motorcycles had waned, and my beloved Harley sat untouched in the garage for years. Eventually, we made the decision to part ways with my Harley and embrace a new experience: the Polaris Slingshot. From the moment we brought her home, our lives have been filled with unforgettable memories.

Over the past year, my husband has transformed our Polaris Slingshot into an incredible masterpiece. We embarked on an exciting journey of customization, starting with upgrading our audio system with DS18 speakers and a larger touchscreen stereo for an immersive sound experience. Our hood, air intake, tires, and rims were all upgraded to enhance both performance and style. To add a touch of excitement, we installed vibrant RGB LED’s that illuminate our Slingshot for nighttime adventures. From the moment we purchased our Slingshot in the desired ghost gray color, my husband embraced his inner Transformers fan and opted for a striking

Deception Megatron theme. As a devoted Transformers enthusiast, I wholeheartedly embraced this choice. This past year has been filled with countless thrilling adventures, and I invite you to join me as I share some of our most memorable moments.

Our first event of 2023, SlingFest in Nashville, Tennessee, was an absolute highlight! It's no exaggeration to say that it was one of the most incredible weekends we've experienced with our Slingshot family. We set off at the crack of dawn, departing at 5 AM from Ohio for the eight-hour ride to Tennessee, accompanied by our fellow Slingshot enthusiasts. The energy, camaraderie, and overall vibe of the event were simply electric. As someone who has been riding motorcycles since the age of 17, I had a rough idea of what to expect, having attended multiple motorcycle events. However, the individuals who ride Polaris Slingshots are hands down the most down-to-earth, humble, and fun-loving people I have ever encountered. We forged countless friendships during our time in Nashville, sharing laughter and creating memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. Among the many highlights, my favorite moment was the night ride, where we took over downtown Nashville with a mighty convoy of approximately 300 Slingshots and motorcycles. It was an awe-inspiring sight and an experience we'll cherish forever.

The Toledo Showdown, hosted by the SlangGang Slingshot group, was an absolute blast! It was a thrilling weekend filled with riding and friendly competition. Saturday night was a true spectacle as we hit the streets of Toledo with a magnificent convoy of around 150 slingshots and motorcycles. Our vibrant procession led us to downtown Toledo, where we took over the streets in front of the stadium, filling the air with music. It was a sight to behold as our fellow slingshot members danced joyously, basking in the glow of the slingshots and the lively tunes. The excitement continued on Sunday, as we spent the entire day in Toledo, participating in the competition, and cheering on our team members. To our surprise and delight, we were awarded second place for Best in Show! It was a proud moment to stand in front of everyone, showcasing the award for my husband's hard work on our slingshot throughout the previous winter. The sense of accomplishment was truly exhilarating!

As we bring the 2023 riding season to a close, our sights are already set on planning upgrades for the upcoming year. There are certain things that I've expressed to my husband as non-negotiable, but I'll keep the details of our plans for Megatron under wraps for now. Stay tuned as we embark on our winter project, tearing it apart and bringing our vision to life. I'm incredibly excited for what next year holds, from the planned rides and adventures to the friendships we'll forge and memories that will last a lifetime.
